Anisfield-Wolf Award winner Adrian Matejka is the author of Map to the Stars, The Devil’s Garden, Mixology, and The Big Smoke, which was a finalist for the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize. He teaches at Indiana University in Bloomington.

 

 

Mai Der Vang’s Afterland won the Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets. A recipient of a Lannan Literary Fellowship, Mai’s writing has appeared in PoetryVirginia Quarterly Review, The New York Times, and elsewhere.

 

 

Award-winning poet Toi Derricotte has published six collections of poems, most recently I: New & Selected Poems, and a literary memoir, The Black Notebooks, recipient of the 1998 Anisfield-Wolf Book Award for Non-Fiction and a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. She served as a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets, 2012 – 2017, and is Professor Emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh.
